Has anyone used one of these before? How did you like it?

As a customer to one of these stores which template do you like best and why?

Ideally looking for something that is commerce friendly but also has pages available for galleries, biography, extra links to dance, etc

and widgets, love widgets

Just starting to research these subjects now -- John & I are getting ready to get a web site up as well as an Etsy store. My cousin took a seminar with "Stores on Line" -- they provide everything including shopping carts, PP links, search options, etc., training, support, but it's wayyyy more than we can afford, so I'm researching how we can establish a safe and effective site by doing it ourselves....

The templates just control the look of Wordpress. Your shop functionality comes with the e-commerce plug-ins with Wordpress being the entire content management for the website.

You need to figure out how you want your shop to operate and decide on the e-commerce plug-in based on functionality.

You might want to look into Joomla! as a content management system, too, depending on how complex your want your site to be. If you want a custom look to your site, you can check around with folks who custom build templates and pay to have an original one created.
