Feedback on Website Please
Finally took the time over the long weekend to get a site together. Tried to keep it very simple. Not sure if maybe it's too simple, and I'm still debating on doing some editing to my bio.
Please look it over and if you notice any typos, grammar, or "no-no"'s, let me know!
Thank You!

I didn't read every word, but I will at some point. Overall, really nice work. My only concern is that you are using a template that I have seen several belly dancers use. You may want to transition to something more original at some point.

Re: Feedback on Website Please
I would rethink the template, as well, but that's easier said than done when you're using Weebly.
Otherwise, I really like the clean, easy navigation and the nice, slick looking gallery. How come MY Weebly site never looked this good? ..l;,
Also, is there any way to get rid of that annoying text that says "Get a free website with Weebly?"

My first 10 sec impression is that I like it. The background is elegant and not too distracting so my focus is on your photos and words.
The only thing I would do is split the photo and video into 2 seperate pages. I didn't realise at first you had videos because it was on the bottom fold of the page.

I wouldnt really worry so much that other dancers have the same template unless they are in your (or a close-by) market. Most customers would be unlikely to be searching 20 different markets looking for a dancer, and therefor, they wouldnt know others are using it.
I think its attractive and easy to navigate.

Nice, clean and to the point.
I must know what version of Msafer you are dancing to in the fist video. I've never heard that version before.

Thank you Michelle. I found it here http://www.7alim.com/wma/Abdel%20Hal...trumental).wma
At some point I'll put up something more original with the wording but I was struggling with paralysis by analysis and didn't have a site up at all. With some upcoming events/gigs I decided to just do it and go with it for now.Last edited by NancyAsiya; 01-21-2010 at 08:38 PM.

It's very nice! Even though you don't have a lot of pages, I think you did a really great job of covering just about everything a potential client would like to know.

Re: Feedback on Website Please
I think its nice my only concern was the photo on the home page. I do some graphic design work and the picture you have is cute but your costume blends in with the background of the picture so it did not pop out when I looked at it. See if you can use a photo with a light background to match your flower color or something. Just a thought...

Re: Feedback on Website Please
This is a nice little website, straightforward and to the point! It's nice to see one that isn't cluttered up with umpteen twitter feeds, animated cobras rising from baskets, or a massively complicated menu.
I do agree about the picture on the home page. I don't like that cracked floor you are standing on and I think it's hard to see your face. There's nothing very "personal" or welcoming about the photo. I think you should choose your very best possible picture for the home page. Maybe even consider getting a new photo shoot for it? Or get a talented friend to take new pictures?

Re: Feedback on Website Please
The template look did strike me, too. It may not come to mind for potential clients, but people are attracted to something more eye-catching. I think a strong photo on the front would make this work for the time being.
On your first page, I would probably leave the details of your dancing off. I think the first page is generally the one that grabs people and intrigues them to look further. The details are good, but I like to see them on a separate page.
In your bio, I would write what kind of dancer you see yourself. Your background is quite varied, so if I were looking to hire you, I'm not sure what style you do. I'd also toot your horn a little more- what does your dancing bring to the table? Who's your market?
For the competitions- did you place in any of them? I'm not sure if I'd include them if you did not.
On your hiring page, some of the breaks in lines are odd. On your form, you should probably include a spot for people to fill in their phone numbers and a best time to reach the person
