Thread: Belly dancing associations

Currently I have found myself as a student and a teacher in the world of Belly dancing. I am presently doing alot of research and I wish to provide the best possible experience to my students. I am finding that some of my students have had former introductions to the dance. I would like some information on how to form an association or become apart of one. I am in Eastern Canada, does anyone know of one?

Here's a link to the Atlantic Belly Dancers' Association, which serves the Atlantic provinces.

What's your dance background, out of curiosity? Most dancers I know at home learned from Andrea.

There is MEDA www.meda.bc.ca, which is based here in Vancouver but has events and links for all over Canada. There is also OMEDA, same thing based in Ontario. There is also a Bellydance Canada tribe on tribe.net, you may want to check that out.

In Quebec, there is one association called Association quebecoise de danse orientale:

thank you I've found them. here in Newfoundland the Belly dance movement is startinga nd growing well. we now want to keep to the quality and grow into the global belly dance community
