Seriously?... Seriously???
So my hubby got an email from a former organisation in the USA. This person will be coming to Europe and is participating in a small festival. She wanted to see if Momo would fly to this certain country to teach a workshop.
Get this: They only want a 1 hour workshop. Seriously???? For festivals, he states in his contract that he will teach 8 hrs minimum, unless otherwise agreed upon... and it's only 2 months away. That's another thing that Momo doesn't understand. Usually, he's booked 9-12 months in advance.
Do people not understand this? He is Momo Kadous, not some unknown teacher/dancer who can accomodate this kind of request.
He was quite amused.

Not having a contract in front of them perhaps they misunderstood based on things that are on the internet.

Re: Seriously?... Seriously???
For that event, we were in Houston visiting my family. He did it pro bono because Sirrom is my original dance family. Plus, Momo was booked on a tour in the US during the weekends.
Asking him to travel to another country to teach for 1 hour on a weekend is not in the same realm.... though I do understand how those who don't know Momo's full schedule would misinterpret the Tuesday mini-ws he gave at Sirrom.
Plus, this was an organisation that had sponsored Momo before, and worked with a contract at the time, so the person knows by previous experience how Momo works.

Ah, I understand your frustration. They had worked with him before and would have known his contractual stipulations. It is a shame when people who should know better pretend that they don't.

Re: Seriously?... Seriously???
i'd just answer with the regular conditions and maybe specify that he does not travel for a one hour workshop. probably you wont hear from 'em again. you might have also received a bulk mail they send out to lots of dancers, not making any distinction

Re: Seriously?... Seriously???
Momo told me to tell them that he thinks they forgot the '0' after the '1', lol....
No, it wasn't a mass email as this person mentioned how much she enjoyed having him in her studio in the past and made reference to his teaching and background.
In any case, he's already booked for that date.
