Hello,
I am Richard Philips. I am an English speaking clergy from Liberia. I will be coming over to Belgium, on holidays from 1st Feb to 10th of March 2010, for a 10 days vacation with my wife, daughter and son of the ages of 3 and 5respectively.
My wife Mrs Jane Benson since she lost her mom and dad, who were murdered in front of her in cold blood by armed robbers. Since then she has been under going some stress. It was based of the development that i have decided for us to visit Belgium for sight seeing and would want her to Have some dance classes which i believe she will need your services as a Dance SPECIALIST for 2hours daily X 10 days during the period we intend to stay.
Please acknowledge if you can offer this service and give me a price quote. We will like to pay in advance of our visit so that she can be assured of Lesson before our arrival. An early reply will be appreciated.
Remain Blessed,
Pastor Richard Philips

Now why in heaven's name would be under some stress after her parents were murdered in front of her in cold blood by armed robbers? I know that it would take me MERE HOURS to get over something so trivial!

Re: scams
So now they're appealing to our heartstrings as well as our greed?
And yes, always, the religious connection to put our minds at ease.

Re: scams
I have no idea why these folks think dancers have money to be scammed out of.

I get these at least once a month now. I used to get them more than that. And as far as them thinking we have money to be scammed out of, over there they think all Americans are rich!

Re: scams
I am still trying to work out how in h£ll they think we'd fall for this stuff.
They really need to start up the NASA (The Nigerian Academy of Scammers Affiliated) and up the "anty"
Mind you I did appreciate his blessings. Has anyone ever replied?
How did you go about it?

Re: scams
We replied to one we got long ago just to see what would happen. We ended up with a stack of postal money orders as payment, and a request for 'change' because the money orders exceeded the cost of what they were buying by a few hundred or so. I sent them back a little email informing them that transactions with phony money orders were becoming so common that we would prefer cash at the door :) and that if they gave me an address I would mail their money orders back to them (no, there was no clear return address on the package of money orders). Never heard from them again, so I took the money orders to the post office who in turn sent them off to where ever suspect money orders go for inspection etc. They turned out to be absolutely magnificent forgeries. Folks who deposit these things in banks often get the money credited to their accounts because the quality fools the banks. But then the Post Office rejects them and the banks pull their money back out.

Re: scams
Sometimes when I am in the mood I write back to them telling them to go get a decent job instead of robbing us dancers....
Stupid idiots.
