    Redesigned my website... again

I finally got to the point where my old site was making my eyes bleed, so I've spent the last few days putting together a newly designed one. New colors, new themes, new Dreamweaver tricks, new organization.

I like it, but I'm biased because I worked so hard on it. Constructive feedback is most welcome!

I just love it - the color scheme is so vibrant and fresh while still being kinda earthy. Hey, that sounds just like you!

    Thank you rassicahl!

Thanks, Laura. I am "feeling" this color scheme much more than the last one for sure!

I'm a big fan of the color green, too... we use it in our studio ... but let me point out that you open up with 'Christina King is an experienced instructor and performer of tribal style belly dance..' but at the bottom of that other page and on other pages you seem to be selling folkloric and Egyptian cabaret as well. If you are strong on those then they need to be up top and center with the tribal, IMO.

Wording: I feel you duplicate info which softens the focus. For instance, the narrative on the Bio page includes a list of workshops you have taught at, and then you repeat the exact same info in list form on the lower right. IMO, if you cut out the narrative iteration the customer's eye will get to the list faster and more reliably. Also, I feel that there are unnecessary words (I'm always being critiqued for the same thing) that could be removed without damaging the warm relaxed ambiance you are trying to establish .
PS I like your gallery pix.

    Thanks for the feedback, maura!

I'm downplaying the folkloric and Egyptian on purpose, but I don't want to lose it entirely. Most of my business comes from classes and workshops and I only teach tribal right now. My last site showcased them both equally and it was a bit muddy and confusing. I keep the folk/Egyptian stuff in the bio because it's been a huge part of my formulation as a dancer. Does that make sense?

I see what you mean by duplicating information on the Bio page. That's what I get for cut-n-pasting the old bio. On my old site, the list of past workshops was on the workshops page, but it seemed cluttered there. I'll edit the bio.

And yeah.. I'm wordy. I work on it, but not successfully all the time, I'm afraid.

    Thanks again!
