How do your students 'sign in'?
In order to provide longer class times (requested by students) whilst working within the times I and the venue are both available I am toying with the idea of getting students to sign themselves in on the register and pay their fees themselves (to free up more time for me to teach them in). I.e., trusting them to leave the right amount of money and take the right amount of change if necessary. Does anyone else do this, and if so, how do they find it works?
TIA..g.:

I'd allow that with my existing long-term students who I feel I could trust, but with newer students, hmmmm, I'd be too cynical!
