So a few weeks ago I had a gig on a Monday in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and 4 days before it it dawned on me I wanted to hire a photographer--my first experience with hiring one.

I called Daphne Youree, who was the photographer at my cousin's wedding along with her biz partner Michelle Ocampo. As a bridesmaid, Daphne and Michelle had made me feel like a movie star all day and were super easy going and nice. Daphne got back to me right away about the dance gig and agreed to do it. She took about 100 shots of me between a 3.5 minute dance and an additional 10 minutes or so shooting me in some open space in the front back of the venue. I was really happy with them, her use of light especially is excellent. You can see some of them on my facebook page.
