Thread: Hosting Workshops..what cut% do you take?

Hey, a dance pal and I were wondering...
If you're hosting a dance workshop, but not the actual instructor.. how much of a cut do you usually take if any? Are there any belly dance 'standards' or ethics for this anywhere/places?
do you...
-take a %centage cut
-take a base flat rate
-vary depending on what the particular teacher asks
-vary depending on success of workshop (# participants)

I'm not planning on hosting any workshops soon.. but it was more out of curiosity. :)

and for the dancers/teachers DOING the workshop.. how do you usually charge? A set rate or rate/hour or percent?
