My insurance stopped covering dance teachers...any suggestions?
Dear Past or Present IMA Member,
Please accept my apology for the confusion. The IMA stopped selling
liability insurance on April 22, 2010 when our insurance agent
resigned from our Risk Purchasing Group, a requirement for us to sell
insurance.
BOO!
Also, for studio owners-who do you go through for your insurance coverage?

What a pain! I recently switched to Venbrook (which was recommended by several Bhuzzers). So far, so good. Venbrook.

We have too much floor space to qualify for Venbrook, we ended up going through a local insurance agent.

Try K & K Insurance online, I've used them for a while now.

I am in the same boat as Amity. I was on that insurance. I originally applied with Venbrook and they are unable to cover people in my area.

Re: My insurance stopped covering dance teachers...any suggestions?
I just visited both Venbrook's and K&K's sites.
Venbrook's wasn't user-useful as there was absolutely no info on the site, but I sent an email. Hope to hear back next week!
K&K was very user-friendly . . . insurance can be purchased online! I can purchase both teaching and event insurance! Cool. Will look into it more in a couple of days.
Thanks for the heads-up, everybody!
