Another persona?
I'm venturing into another style of Fusion BD ...something a little edgier and darker, in order to explore the art and myself more. However, I'm known for my traditional/elegant style, which I really love. I don't want stop doing the trad stuff, but I don't want to confuse my image. So I was thinking of adopting another name that I would use when I'm doing the fusion performances.
So, I'm wondering if another name is necessary. Would people be able to understand that "Audie" is "able to present multiple styles and moods"? Or will they be stuck on what I usually do and not understand any variation.
Do any of you many multiple personae?

Hi It's Kelebek. I don't think you need to have another name just because you are performing a different style. I contemplated the same thing when I started working on fusion. I have different persona that correspond to the styles that I perform, but I still use my name kelebek.

I'd say it depends on how different the new style is and how much you want to keep the two things apart. There are lots of dancers who maintain one name for dance and another for burlesque, historical recreation, or LARP, and there are others who maintain multifaceted personalities with a single alias or their legal name.
