Thread: New Mexico and Missouri

I'm looking for hosts for evening workshops in New Mexico (along the interstate or close to it) on Tuesday May 29th and Missouri (also along the interstate, on the way to Louisville, KY) on Friday June 1st. The workshop offerings are 2 hours long, and suitable for all ages and styles (contrary to popular misbelief, Gothic BD appeals to a wide range of ages and is NOT Tribal-only---the Durga Tour saw teens to post-menopausal folks, both cabaret and tribal all over the country).

I pretty much have the rest of our "Movin'Th'Mischief Tour" taken care of (8 other stops), and our previous hosts for these states are either MIA or unavailable. The weeknight workshop in Albq saw approximately 30+ students, and the weekend in MO saw 40-50---and both were just intro classes to Gothic Bellydance. There's more advanced classes on GBD, ritual-sacred classes, and classes on stage expression and performance creativity. Sponsor obligations including the gas stipend, hotel accomodations for one evening for 2 adults and 1 cat, and either the class hourly flat rate or 70/30 split after expenses, whichever is greater.

Which interstate in Missouri are you talking about? I'm guessing you mean either 44 or 70?

we'll be coming from OK City, so 44 would be the best route.

Ideally, St. Louis would be great since we did Springfield in October, but I'm open to suggestions. There's got to be dancers in St. Louis right?

I'm really tempted to take New Mexico as a free-day, so we can drive a bit more leisurely and enjoy the scenery...though meeting up with some folks for dinner would be fun!

Just bumping this up, I still need Missouri for June 1st...the rest of the tour is booked!
