Thread: WTL "what the link?"

So I was checking in on my link campaign and found some really weird sites linking to mine that I didn't even request a link exchange with. Also, all of my links have been me manually requesting. I have never signed up with a link farming service.

It looks like they take a certain keyword and link to various sites with that keyword. What is the purpose of these sites? They seem to be pretty random.

For example, this one Crystal is some landscaping site, but then has "crystal" links at the bottom of the page that range from mining, to windows, to hotels to how to make crystal meth....

And my website description is displayed by a photo of a nice crystal skull...and diagonal to a photo of crystal meth...,m::

I don't want to be linked to a site that links to other sites that tell you how to make crystal meth!

WTL?

I don't see any contact information other than to leave a public post and the landscaping company, but I'm not sure if that company is really tied into the website.

Any thoughts on how I can remove myself from that site and/or prevent other similar sites from linking to mine?

Page also lists sites for hot sauce, a record company, bank, a horse ranch and the "official" Indiana Jones website. WTL?

grrrr and clicking "contact us" on the landscape company part of the site just refreshes the page and doesn't lead anywhere.
