More than camel rental
I know there was a topic once that said we needed to charge more than an ice sculpture would be but how about this....
We should be paid more than the live camels. ..g.:
We got booked for this gig tonight and the event coordinator was giving me a hard time wanting another show so after MUCH discussion we finally agreed upon a price and an amount of shows.
In the meantime I find out that they are having another duet there. Yes, a duet of CAMELS!!! These people are forking over bucks for real lives camels at their HOME! but yet we had to fight like cats and dogs over our fee. Are we not worth more than live camels? I'm not going to crap on your yard. Ok, well maybe I will crap on your yard if you treat me bad or don't pay me!
You better believe that tomorrow I'll be posting some photos of me and my friend in full costume astride some camels! LOL!!!! ..l;,

I couldn't help but google a bit and I found this place.

Of course, the camel has to ride in a special trailer and be accompanied by a trainer -- but it's probably not expected to wear an expensive costume.Just the Camel: $800 for 2 hours Additional hours: $200

OMFG, that's hysterical! Well, based on their first set of prices we're getting paid a little more so I guess that should make me feel better. LOL!!!
This lady did a living nativity scene last year! Apparently she's got more money than sense.

maybe that should be the new guide line for our rate sheets...l;, i figure the camels get $200 for a 1/2 hr show as well.
then we can tack on a "handler's fee" for rude cutomers, late starting shows, drive time, other reg. issues.
and if they are really annoying, we can smell bad and spit too!

I totally think we should start charging an 'animal handler fee' for those handsy, rude, wanting to tip your boobs clients! Hysterical!
Well, you know, I was talking with my dance partner on this. You know, some dancers are brought in in baskets or on litters or like Fifi Abdo on a cherry picker.
We could be rode in on the backs of camels! LOL!!!!
