Hi all,
Just wanted to share this youtube from Horatio Cifuentes


I haven't looked to see if it's posted anywhere else. It really could be appropriate in at least half the forum categories- teaching students the right thing to do, music, culture etc. I don't want to spam it around though.

This video has come up before (http://www.bhuz.com/showthread.php?5...al-productions and http://www.bhuz.com/showthread.php?5...t-infringement), and deeper in the recesses of the archives is discussion about B&H and Dondi on the related matter of respecting copyright on choreographies. It is a shame that these artists have to expend so much effort on keeping their fellow dancers from ripping them off, but unfortunately, the ones who most need the schooling on this matter don't tend to be the ones who are participating in online forums, conscientiously trying to educate themselves and raise standards. If they were, they'd know better (or at least be guilted out of) stealing other dancers' hard work.

People sometimes don't hear what you tell them, they hear what they want to hear - so putting your agreement in writing's a good idea. "here's 20 cds to sell, when they're gone you can buy stock at half-price; please don't copy them; etc." so simple!

I've pretty much sworn off verbal agreements or even "business phone calls" unless there's an accompanying agreement in writing...
