Thread: Organizing a workshop/retreat- have experience with this?

Hi, I was wondering if any of you have organized workshop/retreats in foreign countries would have any advice for a novice on the subject.
I have a friend in Morocco who would like me to organize a workshop/retreat at her bed & breakfast. I would really love to try this- the offer is a genuine dream come true. I have arranged exhibits and arts fairs before with great success, so I have experience getting a collection of talent together... I was just wondering if there are any of you out there who have had successful/or unsuccessful workshop/retreats in foreign countries who would be generous enough to share your story... offering tips for me (and perhaps others curious) on what to & not to do? marketing strategies? targeting your best market? Tips for making the travel more affordable for participants?

*Just in case my profile confuses you- I logged into my account which I haven't used in a while and it looks like somehow someone else (a highschool student) used it and changed all my information... not exactly sure how that happened but all that info is wrong- I am not a highschool student. I'm 29 years old with 3 kids & have been bellydancing for 11 years

Some of the profiles were scrambled during the site conversion. Perhaps you might want to take the time to correct yours?
