Thread: taking over my product on amazon..a bit scared

after 26 years tape worn is going out of business. back in some day, certain venders would only buy from a distrubuter like tape worm. well, we were not happy with them anuway..they would list titles out of stock that i have in shelf of etc.
any tips to pass along my way?..any of you run your own amazon store?...i have only ran my own online store up till now. is there anything to look out for ?

I can only say that I've purchased a TON of dance dvd's and other items (like my laptop, big $$$) over the years from Amazon and Amazon vendors, the biggest reason being security. I actually prefer to shop on Amazon now for most everything, whether new or used items, because I know from experience I don't have to worry about quality, shipping or return issues; their vendors will fight for a 5-star 100% rating. And I like the item reviews other purchasers have posted, use those reviews (with a grain of salt) as much as item specs to make my selections. Of course, having an Amazon credit card makes it all TOO easy to make these purchases, ack.

Amazon has a huge shopper-base - hope you have great luck with them!

I bought two of your DVD's from "Dialogue International" - is it yours?

My sister ran an Amazon store for awhile - she said that Amazon doesn't take any cr@p from vendors. An Amazon store really has to be on the up and up and "on the ball".

But ditto what Irishlily said: I look to Amazon first when I'm looking to buy just about anything. If its pretty mainstream merchandise, its pretty hard to beat Amazon. If its something more obscure, I sometimes have better luck elsewhere - and sometimes not!

that is tomas, my producer..he sells on ebay. he shut his other online store. i have an online store on my web site as well.

Many dancers distribute their CDs and DVDs through CDBaby.com and Filmbaby.com, respectively.

Ditto. In fact if I have a choice of buying from a personal shop or Amazon I will usually buy Amazon for just that reason.

Once you get your amazon store up if you provide a link I will definitely check it out.

If you don't mind some feedback though? It would help if you had images up. I know a lot of people won't buy something online without a picture. (Mind you others can put up pictures of the one they own. )
