Thread: Google Places for multiple locations

I recently started teaching at a second studio and wanted to make a second Google Places listing for that location but I am having a difficult time getting it verified so I wanted to see if anyone else had a similar issue or advice. Here is the situation- I rent space from 2 different studios, I don't receive snail mail to either of those locations, and I have only one website and phone number for my dance business. Google only lets you verify listings via phone or snail mail but since I did the first listing by phone it won't let me do this for the second one since it is the same phone number. Google wants me to verify via snail mail but I don't get mail at the studio location. I have asked the studio owner what they do about snail mail but they don't have the ability to get mail there since no one really uses snail mail anymore so their address is only a physical location and not a mailing address. How have those of you with multiple locations managed to verify the second one?

I had this same problem a while back. Even when I gave them an address I never did get the snail mail confirmation, which I hear is a big problem. I would suggest getting a google voice number (some sort of free service, I don't know too much about it) which rings through to your regular phone. Then you can list both numbers, one in each place, but still receive calls on one phone. I had two phone lines at the time, but my husband uses his Google voice for people he doesn't want to give his regular number out to.
