Thread: Need a good web designer like Dreamstar or WebsDelight (Michelle Joyce)

Greetings fellow dancers. Looking for a great web site designer who can design a belly dancer web site similar to Dreamstar or Michelle Joyce Websitedelight.
Here's the situation. Dreamstar is way to expensive for someone like me just transitioning from just restaurant dancing to more pro, private gigs. Michelle Joyce of Websitedelight, contacted her. She states she is way too busy to take on web design project for me . I LOVE BOTH OF THEIR WORK! Checked out other websites of dancers but none of them do impress me like theirs. They look VERY professional, not too busy, just the right information and flow. Any suggestions on another web designer who can undertake something similar. I love how Michelle Jocye's and 1 she did for Victoria, sigh....

madcat, aka Rebecca Clayton, here on bhuz is an amazing designer. She did my site (which is awesome!).

I'm sure cost depends on how fancy a site you need done.

Shems' website is great. I've also bookmarked a few websites that I like and you can think about contacting the designer to get bids.

You may also want to consider purchasing a template and having someone tweak it for you. It will be cheaper than something from scratch. I bought my template and had my beau tweak it for me. It helped that he knows coding, but I could have done a lot of those tweaks myself.

Example: Berita | BizzThemes -- All these sites use the same basic template as my site. Pretty cool what you can do!

I'm having DreamStar do my next design, so I totally understand your love of his creations. :) I will say- yes, the price adds up, BUT he charges very reasonable rates for what he does and his communication is excellent. One great thing about his designs is that they really reflect the personality of the dancer:

Those are all very different from each other and really show the dancer's personality and style.

I would suggest taking your time to find someone who is a good fit for you. In addition to finding someone who can insert all the SEO stuff properly, and someone who understands the need for simplicity and ease of use, find someone who communicates with you clearly, gets back to you in a timely manner (even after they have all your money) and who tries to reflect your personality as a dancer. :)

I should also mention Kendra, who did Belladonna's site, as another great designer with a unique style:

Hi, Checked into these. I really like Kaitlyn's site. I contacted website designer of her site, Michaella Manning on facebook but no response. I don't know what is up with these web site designers. Are they interested in business or not?
