Thread: A GOOD news report on Belly Dance!

After yesterday's fury we all unleashed against the Dallas Observer and their vajayjays, this is very refreshing! A local news reporter who does a weekly story on women's health and fitness came out and filmed my class, and interviewed me and a couple of my students. I think she did a really nice job!

I loved the video! How wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this - yesterday definitely left a bad taste in the mouth and this cured it!

Their website is squirrely. Some other people told me it worked on their smart phone but not their computers. It works on my computer but i get a 404 not found on my iPhone.

A few minutes ago it was just an article with no video; now the video is back.

When I looked earlier it was a photo and article, just now saw the video. That's great! How did you set this up with the TV station? Great promo. The best advertising is the kind you get for free, I always say!

The reporter (Kelly Burke; as long as we're tossing around the names of the bad reporters let's also mention the good ones) called up the studio owner to ask about his hip hop classes, with an interest in doing a story about them, but she changed her mind when he mentioned the other dance forms being taught and mentioned belly dance. I felt a little bad that I usurped the PR opp, but I think he was still happy to get his studio some promotion.
