    Blogging on the go

Okay, bit slow but I finally broke down and got an iPad. I have no intention of getting a data plan anytime soon, so wifi at home & office is my connection for now. I would really like to work on blog posts while doing all those fun things like sitting at the dentist office or my son's dance class, but none of the apps (like blogsy) I've looked at actually tell you if they are usable when you are offline. Anyone have favorite writing apps you want to share for working offline?

You could always write what's on your mind in a text program, and then copy and paste it (e-mail it to yourself, whatever) into the blog program later when you're at/near WiFi. The getting stuff out of your brain is the most labor-intensive part of the job, and you don't necessarily need to be online to do that. It only takes a couple minutes to upload once the "real" work is done.

Disclaimer: I'd do a lot more blogging if I could think of something to write. I'm not creative in that particular way. More power to you for doing this.

Thanks, Nabila- you're right, the writing itself is the hard part, but I really want something which will preserve formatting as well. For me, the visual aspect is integral to the overall presentation, and that's a lot of what I haven't had time to fix lately. Maybe being able to type on the go will give me time to format when I can actually sit down at my desk. I'll probably break down and try blogsy at some point. It's hard for me to spend even the $5 for something without a personal recommendation, but it's also hard knowing there is potentially a tool out there which would make all my publishing dreams come true, lol!

It's hard to tell what you've looked into, specifically, but I don't believe the WordPress app requires wi-fi (though that's the Android version).

Other than that, your best bet is either a WYSIWYG editor (Gusto looks promising) or just a plain text editor (and hand-code your HTML, or just do it later when you're ready to post at the computer) (I think Gusto does this too).
