Thread: Biz cards w/photo

Hi everyone,

I know this comes up from time to time...where do you purchase your photo (glossy) business cards?

I know of several local places & am interested in trusted on-line print shops. I want to compare prices & see what I come up with.

I have used a place local (to me) and they do great work: Clubcard Printing San Francisco

While I like to stay local for various reasons, my promo budget is tight right now, but I really needed new cards. After a lot of research, I went with GotPrint. I just received my order today, and am really, really pleased. I got 500 full color, two-sided business cards for $12.99 total, plus around $7.50 shipping. I placed my order last Thursday, approved the proof Friday, got notice they had shipped Saturday, and received them today.

I also liked that for first time customers they had a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Here in Greece for 500 cards (both sides/normal size/no photo on/full colour) the prize is from 100 euro to 150 = 130$ to 180$ ,m::
We really tend to give them to the ones that have a posibility to work with us ....

it might be more cost effective to use a service here and have them mailed to you...seriously. you could probably order on line through a service like vistaprint

vistaprint is great, as long as you dont need the business cards urgently (they ask a lot for fast shipping, but if you can wait a few weeks its cheaper)

they also work with lots of sales and promotions, so its always good to time your orders accordingly.

my last batch from Vista Print came pretty quick. The first time I paid for the fast shipping, not worth it. The last time I ordered them and figured I'll just wait and I got them within a week. I was really happy.

I get mine from Business Cards, Postcards, Flyers, Brochures, Letterhead , Greeting Cards & Envelopes Overnight ~ by OvernightPrints.com. I had a problem with them a couple of years ago when my cards came in all ookey with ink, and to be honest returning them and getting replacement cards was a pain. But it's the only time it's happened, and they really are dirt cheap, so I've continued to do business with them.

I second gotprint.com - quality and card stock is awesome, and I got 1000 postcards and 1000 biz cards for under $90 including shipping. People ALWAYS ask me where I got my cards from.

I have used overnightprints.com too, and the quality was great. I used vistaprint for my Philly Raqs business cards and was not happy with the quality or price.

I used gotprint.com for my last set, and even the photographer who took the pictures was really impressed with the quality. The price was great and they've definitely got a repeat customer out of me...

I've always used Fed Ex Kinkos....they are very experienced in business cards and can actually do them on the spot. The longest I've waited was 2 hours. And the price was reasonable.

I used 123print.com for my work business cards. I didn't like Vistaprint at all.

minimoos from Moo Cards. They are half the size of normal business cards, but a full-length bellydance photo looks good on one side, with your information on the back side.

I second Got Print. I've ordered two different designs from them (color front, B&W back), and get lots of compliments. And the glossy finish makes the extra-durable, so they don't get *completely* ruined from floating around in the bottom of every bag I own. :)

But BTW, I've seen Nepenthe's minimoos in person, and they look pretty fabulous too.

I use OvernightPrints.com and very pleased with them. The cards look fantastic and the price is good.

I use vistaprint too....I definitely recommend paying a bit more for the faster shipping. I have ordered alot through them and now I only get my cards and postcards when I get the free offers. That way I only pay for the photo upload and shipping
