Help! I Want a Dance Last Name
I'm looking for a last name that's easy to pronounce and that's not strictly Arabic, i.e. more than one culture uses it as a last name. One that won't upstage Athallia, since for restaurants and parties one name is enough.
Any ideas?? The websites with dance names only have first names and I do not want to go by two first names.

Re: Help! I Want a Dance Last Name
hmmm - interesting thought! I like Athallia Amir, but then I love alliteration and the 2 syllable last name :)
I'll keep thinking and see what else sounds good :)

Alliteration, just like the super heroes, I hadn't even thought about that. Thanks for getting the ball rolling.

You can also take a "title" - I use "The Veiled Male".
Athallia, "Queen of Da Nile" ..l;,

Re: Help! I Want a Dance Last Name
I asked Amel Tafsout for a last name and she dubbed me Zumarrad Zeina.
I like Athallia Aal, for some reason.

Okay, I was thinking about adding Ayah to my name...but it would be pretty with yours too. Athallia Aya. Or Athallia Ayal. I like Athallia Ali too. :)

I was thinking Ali too, but I was afraid it'd make me more aggressive ..g.:
I like Amar, but it's pronounced different in Spanish and I plan on promoting myself more to the Hispanic community in the coming years.

Re: Help! I Want a Dance Last Name
You know, the different pronunciations don't seem like a drawback to me -- they're both very pretty and both go well with Athallia. I think it would be a really nice option for bilingual/bicultural promotion because of the warm, positive associations in both Spanish and Arabic. And people tend to remember words they know with meanings they recognize -- great for marketing!
I like the sound of Athallia Amir a lot too, but it doesn't have the "added value" of bilingual resonance.
My two cents...
