Tunisian Melia for sale at unbelievable price, real bargain.
It includes: shirt with embroidered arms, meters of fabric with lovely khomsa design in burgundy gold red, silver double necklace with special pins and decorations, black gold hat (not pictured), white wool hip scarf. There's an additional pair of Turkish pants quite the same fabric of Melia, very baggy.
From M to XL.
The dress might be completed with a pair of white trousers, wide at the ankle. Mine were piyjamas pants.. XD

I would love to see more pics!! I had the pleasure of wearing this style of costume in Tunis...super comfy!!

The dress has been worn 5 or 6 times , I bought it in Gabes (Tunisia) some years ago and apart from some shows it has been in a closet...I have studied this traditional dance for a couple of years, took a certificate, and then realized it's not my favorite, and since I am moving to a smaller house I can't keep what I don't use.
Quality is quite good, there are still years of wearing and using ahead for this costume! it really shines when you wear it.
It's a very long piece of fabric (double-faced), called MELIA, plus shirt, pants, belt, necklace and hat.
Sure needs ironing and the silver necklace needs polishing (it's not sterling silver, but there's a percentage of sterling silver in it, it's the traditional "poor" silver you find in Maghreb and when polished it shines!). The last photo is myself wearing the costume. The big khomsa is not included.
I paid it nearly 3 times why I'm asking for.
So it's a bargain for who starts studying Tunisian dance or simply likes to have a traditional costume.
The necklace includes two pins which block the fabric at shoulders. I recommend to find someone to help you in wearing it!

I am very interested, but need some more detailed measurements if possible! Specifically what is the length of the belt, and the full length of the melia? Also, how tall are you (for reference in the photo of you wearing it).

Hi girls, thanks for your interest.
The point is, that this kind of costume can wear a smaller or bigger girl because...has no sewing, must be wrapped around the body and then pinned with fibula brooches (included) on shoulders. Basically we company members bought same size costumes in different colors. I have a photo somewhere to let you see how even a petite size (my friend is less tall and really thin and I was at least 15 kilos more than now) can wear the same outfit as a plus size. As you see in the pic, sleeves can be worn longer or not; shirt is lightweight in its white part.
The whole costume is very baggy if you see what I mean. Size here has not this huge importance unless you are a plus XXXXL 2 meters tall or a small, petite petite size. I am 165 cms tall, tried to make conversion but it's quite difficult for me!
I'll try to measure belt and melia later.

Hi Simsima, consider that I chose the cheapest shipping fees... I'm sorry! anyway my problem is size (I'm a 36/38 DD/E with 115 hips and 90 waist), so if you have something for baladi could be interesting. my husband is moroccan and I have already lots of beautiful stuff from there. pm if you have photos. Ok Sikana! I dont mind waiting if the less expensive shipping takes longer.
The baladi dresses I have may not fit, they fit the bigger girls in my group but we are all pretty short and small. Sorry. Of course the khaleegy dress would fit.
