On "classic" bhuz, it took me some time to figure out which features I liked. I used to use "active topics" when I initially entered to find out all the threads that were new since my last visit, and then after that I'd use the "recent messages posted" list on the main forum page to keep an eye on new messages as they came in while I was still online.

I'm finding that on new bhuz using the "mark forum read" feature when I or have just finished catching up on the threads I care about) and "new posts" when I enter is a combination that I like. It doesn't bother me that threads from all topics are mixed together, because the "recent messages posted" list on old bhuz was that way, and I did use that often.

Although I've joined a couple of groups, I find that I rarely take time to visit them and view them. I'm going to try to be better about that.

I've experimented a little with the blogging. If there's a way to view only my own personal blog entries, I haven't found it yet. For that reason, I'm tending to prefer how tribe.net does blogging.

Change is always a bit of a nuisance, as it takes time and effort to learn new interfaces. But I'm keeping an open mind!
