Several of you have expressed interest in coming to Al Amir while you're in Dallas, and I've got the ok from my boss to put together a hafla that Sunday night, May 20.

Here's the details:
IF YOU WANT TO DANCE: Time limit 8-10 minutes, soloists or troupes welcome. This is a Lebanese restaurant, try to stay within the realm of the traditional, although you can do oriental, folklore, pop, or even a prop piece if you like. We have room for about 6-10 dance slots, depending on the level of interest. We have dressing areas upstairs, so you can change at the restaurant. Music on CD, doesn't even have to be on the same CD for you procrastinators (we have a DJ).
IF YOU JUST WANT TO COME WATCH, EAT, MINGLE, AND BOOGIE: Please let me know you're interested and you can call 214-739-2647 for reservations (not a bad idea so they know how many of us are coming and can plan for extra staff if necessary).
I'd like to start the dance show at 8 or 8:30, depending on the number of people we have signed up to dance - I will do my set after she show at around 9:30, and by ten we can be boogie-ing the night away or we can all go home and go to bed LOL
