Re: Stretch marks.

If there was a cure, I would have never gotten my tummy tuck, Lauren. I lost my weight, exercises out the wazoo, used every cream remedy I could find and my tummy was exactly like you describe.

A visit to the doctor verified the fact that the only "cure" is surgery. I know that's not everyone's answer, but I'm very pleased with the results. I had the muscle repair done as well, which can be quite costly, but just having your skin repaired doesn't cost as much as you might think and recovery time would be no more than a couple weeks.

But before that, I used body stockings combined with draped bras as costume selections... or I did a fancy veil drape... or wore a dress. There are some great two-piece costumes out there that come up in a V with a belt as well.

Losing weight will make the wrinkly skin look worse, but of course the rest of you will look more toned so it's a trade off.

Sorry Lauren, but anyone who tells you there's a magic cure short of a tummy tuck is giving you false hopes. So, if that's not something you think you'll do for one reason or another, the best thing you can do is make peace with your tummy, and remember how much your children were worth the trade-off.

Just incase you haven't seen them or are interested. Here are my before and after photos. Warning - the pictures are kinda graphic. Some were taken before the wound completely healed and my pants are a little low. The password is ZILLS
