Kiyanna! I was happy to see you at the Karim Nagi workshops this weekend in Richmond. I wasn't surprised at the attendance since there are TONS of workshops happening in the area and one has to choose what fits in one's schedule and budget. That said, however, those who couldn't make it missed out on some very basic Middle Eastern music concepts that can be put into practice right away in one's dance.

Anyway, Sunday turned out to be a cold, rainy, and windy day to be on a sailboat, and I missed the day's lectures for naught. Perhaps you'll fill me in the next time we meet......

I did end up performing in the Saturday night show, which was a thrill! Everyone's dancing was fun to watch, and Karim did several athletic and amazing drum solo/dance combos at the end.
