I guess what I mean by "shallow" is that you can't really get a sense of a continuing conversation, different people are answering different questions at the same time, comments are clipped and minimal....maybe it's just like that when there are multiple people with different topics at the same time, etc. I can see it might be a little easier to have an actual discussion if it's one-on-one. I'm not saying "shallow" isn't fun sometimes, just that the convo I stepped in on seemed particularly meandering and without much focus or point. I'll give it another try sometime....
