Just an FYI, if you haven't already tried it... I have a great and very heavy chiffon scarf that in order to tie tight enough I ran the risk of losing coins/beads. This is what I did so I could still wear it... I took a piece of matching ribbon - about 1/2 or 3/4", sewed it to the inside top of my scarf, folded it over and sewed the end then ran elastic through it. To tie the dangly ends I just loop them around and fold one back over the elastic to hide it. Make sense? My mind is a gumbled mess right now so if not I can post a pic if you like!
