Retail Swap Meet, a new area, has been added to the Shopping Forum.

The BHUZ Swap Meet is probably the most effective way anywhere to sell belly dance supplies. Commercial vendors were taking advantage of this, even though that is against our rules. The Swap Meet is supposed to be reserved for individual dancers, not stores.

For years now, the goal of the Swap Meet has been to help individual members sell their used belly dance costumes and accessories at no charge. And, to help our dancers build up a great wardrobe at the lowest cost by trading with other dancers.

When commercial stores promote their stuff for free on the Swap Meet it is 1) unfair to our other advertisers and 2) it means that your BHUZ can't pay the bills, and 3) it crowds out our individual sellers with unfair competition from sellers who appear to be an individual but are actually a store selling new merchandise.

Retail Swap Meet is for commercial vendors and stores, and is a moderated area. Listings must be paid for before the posts appear. Posts can be altered by the vendor when items are sold.
