Carolyn! Thank you so much!! It is so great to hear that...I saw you in the audience (small one, huh?) and it was nice to have familiar face out there.
Not to come up with excuses, but it was a real unprepared performance for us as we had earlier lost a couple of the performers, and then Friday night while at the Arab Music Ensemble Concert we were performing at, I found out that my co-director was not going to make it w/ us! So the trio went to duo and I found myself editing music @ 2am that night.
Cherie and I went over the changes while driving down the 3+ hours the next day. And then we got delayed on the road and pulled up to the Auditorium just in time to change & put on make-up and then hit the stage! What a whirlwind and I am so proud of Cherie for just going for it and keeping such a great attitude.
It made it to where we could instantly relax and enjoy the rest of the weekend for sure!
Will you be at the MECDA festival? We are coming down again and I am thinking about maybe coordinating a Wahib's Dinner Party again that Saturday night. I am always looking to party to live music and eat great ME food when I can!!!
