Long ago, on Old Bhuz someone pointed out the odds your post will offend someone
is inversely proportionate
to the number of smilies you use.
Use lots of smilies & you'll be ok. And be careful that *you're* not the one being defensive -- sometimes we feel like people have been offended when really they're just disagreeing, or addressing a different thing entirely.
