The thing that seems different between SewStylish and Threads is that SS seems to be focusing on one kind of sewing per issue. (Of course I say this having gotten ONE issue.)

And I guess I don't agree on the "less experienced sewer" idea, because the red carpet issue is full of couture gown touches, discussing different ways to handle underlinings, boning, sheers, et cetera. I don't think a beginning sewer would know what to do with them.
