In 1984, there was a movie made called
Al Raqissa wa al Tabal, which means
The Belly Dancer and the Drummer. I have not seen the actual movie so I can't tell you what the plot is about, but I found this video clip of a scene from it:

The dancer is Nabila Ebeid, who was quite famous as an actress, but never worked as a dancer. Although her dancing isn't bad, it's definitely forgettable. She accepted a role as a dancer in other movies during her career as well.
It's disappointing that the producers of this movie opted to go with Ebeid in the title role, rather than one of the famous working dancers of their day such as Nagwa Fouad, Soheir Zaki, or Nadia Hamdi.
