Yep, I thought the same - and produced hundreds of pages on my own site without it because I could. When I finally bit the bullet it was a job too big. Now my site is a bastard half and half - which is not good advertising for a web geek - a bit like mechanic's cars I guess.
However, once you sort out you css it is VERY fast to develop new pages and everything is consistant, then that nice dancer who wanted a site in blue and yellow then after it was completed changed her mind can be made happy in seconds.
