As I see it, prior to kicking up dust she felt you unworthy of getting her lovely silks...evidenced by the fact that she wouldn't SEND you one. So you speak up, kick up dust, and get the silk and get told you are unworthy.
I'm pretty sure we'd all prefer the action that gets us the item that we paid for.
I'd probably have told her to screw herself and screw the horse that she would have rode in on if it were an option and not sick.
