Sizing appears to be completely random. My measurements are currently 40, 32, 41 (42 round my arse), which makes me a wee shade larger than I am in my avatar (though I have no idea why my waist is so small right now - at this size it's usually 33 and a bit). That means I wear between a size 12 and 14 normal clothes, am technically about a size 18 according to paper patterns, and in the US would be a 10-12 or possibly a 2 depending on how expensive the garment was (lol). Anyway, I can't buy costumes - the ones I see at festivals etc here are all teeny things designed for teeny Egyptians. Yeah, I know technically I'm too fat to wear bedleh according to some people but I like it, so there. Seeing that there are costumes at Dahlal that, if I had a grand to spare, I could really wear! Well, that's exciting to me!
I had 34 inch hips once. Of course I was 16 and quite ill at the time, but I can still remember the tape measure going round and being amazed.

Zumarrad,
I am not trying to just blindly flatter you, but I really don`t see why you or anyone would find you too big for a bedlah? Yes, I have seen some dancers who should not wear them, but you look quite firm in your photos. Just my thought.
Oh, and I have sold many a costume here that would have fit you quite well. Maybe not your taste or budget, but they are there. Just gotta look everywhere.
