Hello, I'm new here, this looks like a fine place to "pop" in and say hello.
I am brand new to belly dance, though I have been wanting to learn it for years and years.
It's just like me to wait til I am 36, with 3 kids, to take lessons, LOL.
Still, I am very excited. I am in Houston, TX -- I'll prob. be taking lessons at Zahirahs -- I've been doing a lot of searching for the right place, and this one looks great. It's a long drive, but that's Houston for ya!
I also have ordered a couple of instructional videos from Amazon (one by Jenna, one by bellytwins, I think).
I've been reading a couple of belly dancing forums for awhile now, and I must say I am amazed at the lovely, supportive, kind community it is! Can't wait to make new friends who share the passion for dance!
