My son is all grown up now (22 yrs old) and I'm in the empty nest stage. It's such a different period of life - I always kind of dreaded him growing up and leaving home, but now that its happened I love it! He's an adult and we can actually have a grown up conversation together, and I'm only 46 (today!) and feel like I have a whole new/different life for both myself as a woman and with my husband as a couple. If I had three children under 10 I don't think I'd be getting away for weeklongs either! That's great that you still have the energy to dance after a day as a mom to three little ones! Or maybe having three little ones is what gives you the energy!
My plane leaves at 7am tomorrow so I'll spend the evening packing and unpacking and packing again! Ciao. N.
