That's really interesting.
I was already a dancer in my teens, so I don't think the "you're a dancer" explanation someone else mentioned would explain the phenomenon. Maybe we lose muscle as we get into middle age and beyond, but perhaps from the teens to the thirties muscle is gained, or tends to be heavier.
All I know is that at age 18 I weighed 118, and at age 28, at 128, but my measurements were still virtually the same, and I still wore the same sizes.
