I know this sounds like an odd question, but are you sure you really have oily skin?
Although I truly had oily skin as a teenager, as I got older, my skin was both a total oil slick, and kind of dull at the same time. No mattifying or oil-control product really worked for me. A makeup artist finally convinced me that I did not in fact have naturally oily skin... what I actually had was dry skin that was so parched, that my oil glands were over-producing oil to try and seal in what little moisture I had in my skin. She convinced me to try using a rich but non-pore-clogging moisturizer. Within a week or two, all of my oiliness disappeared.
Obviously, that's not the case for most people with oily skin, but I figured I'd put it out there if oil-control type products aren't working for you.
