I'm also feeling the August effect, and the Sept. back-to-school vibe.
Went from a 10 (175 lbs) to a 12 (183 lbs) due to hubby and Dad's birthdays...could *not* resist the homemade Boston Cream Pie my uncle had made, truly decadent! I've been good for the past week and am back to 180 (Wheew!)
Dani- Try Tony Cheng's Mongolian Grill, you can get there from the metro, but i don't remember which line. They (used to, don't know if they still do) have a very comprehensive selection of meats, veggies and make your own sauces that they cook on a traditional flat grill. I'd recommend Pied Du Cochon (sp? Pig's foot pub) in Georgetown, but I don't think they're still open. Maybe hook up with Samira Shuruk for a night of ME food, I think she's close to DC.
