We spent a good chunk of the summer at my husband's family cottage on Lake Ontario. I don't know what it is about that joint, but whenever we go there we feel let off the diet leash. Chips, crackers, pretzels, ice cream, cooneys.
Late summer is also a tough time to try to lose weight, even at home--the sweet corn is in season and I feel like I have to eat it *every* *single* *day* because it's just too good not to, and I don't eat corn at all the rest of the year. Oh, and the lovely local peaches.
So, I've gained five pounds since June. I'm trying not to get too exercised over that (npi); I plan to get back to my regular low-carb diet and fitness routine by the end of the month. Or the first frost, whichever is later.
