the drummers were not really "On" Saturday either. The rhythms were to simplistic. I want something I can dance and zill to!
I danced for a little while, but I couldn't handle the weird feeling I got...I stepped back and played my zills instead, and my friends and I left early.

Sadly. . .this IS what it has become! A scream fest.
When they scream, I will put my hands over my ears.
When they join hands in a circle, I just keep dancing.
I don't know when the constant screaming started?
At the same time as Drum Jam,
they is another jam going on- down by the pirate ship.
It involves all types of musicians and dancers.
I may have to go to this next year instead,
as I don't see the screaming is going to stop.
The best time this year
(and now Kara is my hero)
is when the screamers started holding hands and spreading out
into a HUGE circle. . .
they started to push us back and out of the way!!
Kara said, "Isn't this drum Jam?"
and went into the circle and kept dancing!!!
I'm sure the center of the circle was not meant for the bellydancers-
but we all went in and kept dancing!
Drumming and Dancing is the reason Drum Jam started years ago!!!
As far as the drummers-
you really have to be right near your favorite drummers and follow them.
There are many people at Jam now who are Not following the leader's cues.
One of my favorite drummers won't come to Jam anymore becasuse of the chaos. He's going to the music jam by the ship now. . .
. . .maybe the bellydancers should look into this next year???
