Over the last 2 years it has been a roller coaster. I was bigger before the operation, All was well until I had a operation where they had to cut my stomach and wrap it around my esophagus to make me a new esophagus. For nine months after it. I could not eat real normal food. I was stuck with baby food, soups, jello. I could not even eat eggs..
Any way, after the nine months I was able to eat.... Let me tell you I did not hold back!! It is strange feeling of going from not being able to eat then one day wow your able to eat again, within limintions I have since gained 85 pounds within one year.
I just started back dance class, exercise @ a gym, eating fruits & veggies ETC.
I have lost 10 pounds, just within the last 3 weeks.
Not being able to eat solid foods for that long must have been maddening! Do doctors prepare you for what that does to you mentally?

I can imagine how much you missed food. Sounds like you have been through a lot and you're now able to address healthy eating. I think that I had a minor minor version of that when I had gum surgery. Once I could eat again (after about 2 weeks--9 months must have royally sucked) I wanted nuts, ice cream, jelly bellies, and on and on.
