That was far and away the most enjoyable half hour I've ever frittered at work.
I'm really enjoying reading your journal and remembering my own Cairo experiences - though they were a bit rubbish compared to yours! You've already done and seen more than I have on multiple trips. AND you walked the street on your own... it's probably a bad sign for me that I'd have been too nervous to do that.
