Seconding (thirding?) Duo for glue.
As far as eyelashes I like one- or two-time-use ones I buy in the drug store.
Tacky and fabulous. :)

Edited to add: Duo is actually a surgical adhesive and is removable with water and soap. I find it very gentle for my eyes and natural lashes. BUT if one of your students' allergies is to latex, Duo would not be a good choice as it is latex based.
