I apply all the eyemake up first, non mascara, then put the lashes on. I don't bother with the mascara, as it clots all over the lashes and shortens their shelf life. When removing I just pull them off, put them STRAIGHT back in the case, and proceed with the normal babywipe removal of drag queen makeup. Some delicate fakes work when not on stage, but not many manufacturers get it right. If it's really bright daylight, you could use "individual" fakes and put them in the outsider corners of your eyes only.
