everybody has their favorites. I like duo clear and cheapie lashes (ardell) from the drugstore. there is a particular model I get that is nice and thick, and the length from inner to outer corner is a little shorter than most, so they fit my eyes well. I prefer synthetic lashes over natural hair - they last much better for me. the natural ones tend to clump on me if my face gets sweaty.

learned a trick from aziza: she glues two pairs together, and then puts the doubled lashes on. looks nice!

I love the fancy jewelled ones - my faves have tiny hologram sequins on the lashes - they glimmer whether your eyes are open or closed. also like ones with sparkles along the base.

I *try* to look like a drag queen when I put them on! :) a trick I read about from a drag queen that I actually try now and then, is to put them on so they stick up instead of laying flat along the tops of your own lashes.

I like to do all of my makeup first, including mascara, and then put them on last. I also have better luck and am more comfortable if I apply them to my lashes rather than to the skin. if I put them on my lids, it feels like my eyes are wearing golf visors. fine for one show, but if I have to wear them for a long time or multiple gigs - ugh.
